I’m an assessment and qualifications specialist with more than twelve years’ experience of working with awarding organisations, EPAOs, government departments and NGOs to build better assessment practices. I also have a background in teaching at university level and am currently an Academic Supervisor on the University of Cambridge’s postgraduate educational assessment programme.

I have expertise in assessment design, delivery, evaluation, training and the strategic review of assessment models, policies, and organisational practices. 

I’m well-versed in UK qualifications regulation and policy and have experience of working closely with the four national regulators and the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. I’ve also worked extensively on international assessment projects – supporting assessment systems and education professionals in countries such as Australia, Ghana, Kazakhstan and Thailand.

This website was established to support my consultancy business, which operated between 2022 and 2024. I closed the business to join NCFE as their Director of Research and Development.
